MEMBERS of the Crediton and Area Branch of Devon Senior Voice (DSV) enjoyed seated exercises for the over 50s at their June meeting.

The session was lead by former dancer and performer, Judith King, who facilitates similar sessions in Exwick, Exminster and Exeter.

DSV members not only enjoyed the movements, but were thrilled with the choice of music Mrs King used - a great selection of jazz, rock, folk and more. Very enjoyable.

Chair, Carole Towler, thanked her warmly and invited her to stay for refreshments.

There followed the annual AGM in which all current committee members agreed to stand again and the Crediton Hospital League of Friends were warmly thanked for their generous donation to the Crediton and Area branch to enable them to keep operating for another year (with a focus on health and well-being for the over 50s).

A new Treasurer for the group is still being sought. The temporary treasurer, Paula Kovacs, reminded the group that her three months was up in July.

The next meeting will be at the Meadow Suite, Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, on Wednesday, July 12 from 2pm to 4pm.

The speaker will be Penny Scoynes of Westbank in Exeter, who will be giving a presentation about community health and well-being.
