ON behalf of First Crediton Scout Group, I would like to send our deepest sympathy to both Samuel's immediate and extended family.

All of our members are still, like so many others in our community, in complete shock after hearing such sad news.

Samuel, with his brother, Joseph and parents, Clare and Stuart, have been and still are considered to be very much part of our "Scouting Family".

Samuel was a loyal Beaver, Cub and Scout.

As a Beaver, he achieved the highest Beaver badge of all "The Chief Scout Bronze Award" before moving on to Cubs and more recently Scouts. He had only just been invested in this section last week.

As a group, all our members across the sections, including parents and leaders, are still coming to terms with what has happened and as a mark of respect we have not held any of our usual sessions this week.

We will be focusing on supporting our group members in the days and weeks ahead and will be creating a book of memories.
