More than 100 trained "warriors" will gather at Lords Meadow to show visitors what life, and war, was like at the time of Bishop Eadulf, the first Bishop of Crediton.
There to help defend Crediton will be the town's own Saxon leader, Greg Martin.
The Saxon/Viking Days will take place on Sunday and Monday, May 24 and 25, and gates will open at 10.30am.
Admission will be £5 per person and £10 for a family ticket. See our Crediton Festival 2009 supplement inside issue 823. AQ 5798
