THE display of Christmas Lights at 41 Meadowside Road, Sandford has raised the impressive sum of £249.32 for Children’s Hospice South West, thanks to generous people who went along to see them.

Alan Northcote and his wife Jill have decorated the front of their home in aid of charity for the last few years and this year reduced the amount of time the lights were lit due to the cost of the electricity.

The display included four snowmen, four Father Christmasses, a polar bear, unicorn, tree, reindeer, train, elves, dogs, sledges, bells, moving see-saw, and much much more.

Alan and Jill’s daughter Lucy said: “A massive thank you to each and every person who donated.  This is a fab amount that is going to support the charity.

“We collected £134.32 in the donation box outside, £100 on the JustGiving page and £15 in Gift Aid.”
