SANDFORD Heritage Group recently held their second AGM, following the completion of the Undergallery Room at St. Swithun's Church, which was financed by local fund-raising and the Heritage Lottery.

It was very fitting that the AGM was held in the UGR as this is now a comfortable venue, with well-appointed facilities for small meetings and gatherings.*

During the past year, there were several celebrations, talks and visits including two to the Devon Records Office.

The coming year will see further events hosted by Sandford Heritage Group, including a visit to Finch Foundry and Exeter Cathedral.

An Open Day is also being planned for Saturday, September 4, when visitors will be welcome to come and see Dowrich Mill in operation.
