SANDFORD Parish Council supported the Sandford Flower Show by providing prizes for the best gardens and best hanging baskets this year.

The Parish Council thank Matt Comon for judging the competitions and to Jim Stephens for his guidance and help in co-ordinating the competition.

The winners in these two categories were: Best Kept Garden: 1 Philip Cunningham, 1 Gaters; 2 Janet Albrighton, 10 Mill Lane; 3 Di Martin and Charlie Werner, Peppercorn House and 4 No 1, Crofts.

Hanging Baskets: 1 Nicky Barnes, 1 Goss; 2 Yvette Mason, 19 Creedy View; 3 Keith Mason, 2 Crofts and 4 Nick Silk, The Lamb Inn.

The Flower Show team were congratulated for putting on another great event for the parish.
