SANDFORD Pulls Together was finally wound down at the end of 2021 having served the Parish well to deal with Covid issues for those in need of help and assistance.

At that time a lovely letter was received from a parishioner thanking everyone for their help and support during difficult times.

In the letter a suggestion was made to hold a regular Cuppa and a Chat in Sandford for those living alone, and with no access to computers etc and for anyone happy to meet for an opportunity for a chat and a catch-up.

This idea was discussed by the Parish Council who agreed this was a great suggestion.

Contact was made with the Churchwardens at St Swithun’s, who were also keen to support the suggestion and the possibility of using the Under Gallery as a venue was discussed.

Now some months after the seed was sown a regular weekly, free, Coffee and Company, with cake, is to take place in the Under Gallery at St Swithun’s Church starting at 10.30am on Wednesday, April 20.

If you know anyone who would be interested in attending do let them know. Home-made cake will be provided and offers to make a cake or go on the rota to help would be appreciated. Lifts can be arranged and the possibility of having an occasional speaker has also been suggested.
