MARY and Bryan Threlfall, past winners of the Crediton Best Kept Garden Contest, judged the Sandford Parish Council Best Garden competitions this year.

The results were: Best Gardens: 1 Keith Mason, 2 Crofts; 2 Graham Snell, 24 Meadowside; 3 Dave Friendship, 9 Snows; 4 John Crook, 23 Brady Close.

Tubs, Hanging Baskets and other containers: 1 Graham Baker, 4 St Swithun’s Gardens; 2 Richard Reddaway, Myrcott, The Square; 3 John Crook, 23 Brady Close; 4 Pauline Madden, Shute Cottage.

As there is no Sandford Flower Show this year, the prize money will be given to the winners this month.
