PICTURED are two of the nine volunteers from the Exeter branch of the charity Samaritans who helped to raise £401.79 at Tesco Wellparks, on Saturday, August 11.

The funds raised will go towards the up keep of the branch where listeners are trained and stationed ready to receive calls, and reply to emails and texts.

The branch also arranges outreach support in Exeter prison, hospitals, festivals and local educational facilities etc.

Samaritans is a free service offering support to those in distress, people talk to them anytime they like, you don’t have to be suicidal to contact them.
