I WAS interested to read the letter in the latest Courier (October 11): "No doubt there are problems at Exeter Road - and High Street."
I use the High Street every day and see the safety there. Two pelican crossings, a full set of traffic lights, pedestrian islands near Boots' and The Book Shop, dropped kerbs, wide pavements and wide roads.
We have no safety at all in Exeter Road!
My husband is a double amputee and fears for his safety if we go out.
People are, at last, beginning to take notice of our road. We are being denied what is surely our right.
We have had accidents in Exeter Road, but not recorded. In fact they have happened outside our house.
Waiting to cross the road on Friday, I met a grandmother with her two-week-old grandson, bless him, he is being denied health and safety.
Disgusting, all we want is to be able to cross the road in safety.
