MEMBERS of the Crediton Boniface Rotary Club were unable to organise a Senior Citizens’ Party this year due to the pandemic.

Instead, Rotarians from the Club delivered treats to a number of Senior Citizens from Crediton and the area.

Rotarian Paul Radnor, said: "We delivered the treats to 36 people in total, 33 from Crediton, one to Copplestone and two to Sandford.

"The deliveries included a Christmas cake, Christmas pudding, mince pies, panettone, Terry’s chocolate orange (donated by Crediton Morrisons), a Christmas cracker plus several other items.

"All of these items was put together by Rotarian Richard Carey.

"In addition, a Christmas card from Crediton Boniface Rotary Club was included."

One of those who received a treat, Clara Kerry, said: "I would like to thank the Rotary Club for the generous Christmas goodies in the hamper.

"It is much appreciated.

"I wish them all a Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year."
