THE dance group "Best Foot Forward" and Upstream enjoyed a rock around the Christmas tree lead by Emma Higgins from the 5 x 30 Devonwide project during a Christmas party at the Boniface Centre in December.
The 5 x 30 project encourages people in Devon to be more active
As well as rocking around the Christmas tree the group enjoyed mince pies to celebrate the success of the group.
The sessions are designed specifically for the over 50's and help to improve mobility, balance and cardiac output.
They offer people taking part a fun and relaxed atmosphere and allow them to work on free movement and dance at their own pace.
It is also a chance to meet new people and socialise over a well-deserved cup of tea.
5 x 30 Mid Devon activator Emma Higgins is teaching the class and explained: "Those taking part have been having such a good time I don't even think they consider it as exercise!"
The sessions take place at the Boniface Centre in Crediton on a Thursday morning at 10.30am and are suitable for people of all abilities. Why not go along and put your best foot forward?
