Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 7pm May 15 to 6am May 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Woodleigh to Whiddon Down carriageway closure for urgent horticultural works, diversion via minor road through Crockernwell.

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm May 20 to 5am May 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 entry slip closure - for barrier works, diversion via M5 northbound to junction 26 and return.

M5, from 7pm June 2 to 6am June 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 exit slip - lane closure installed by local authority for drainage works off network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
