FOR those following the progress of Richard Stephens on his Yomp to Ypres, Belgium, in aid of Crediton Parish Church roof appeal campaign, he is still on schedule after eight days walking. He has reached Lewes in Sussex, where he will be having a rest day, although it is thought, he will go for at least a short walk! When his Yomp to Ypres resumes, his next overnight stop will be Battle, East Sussex. Sunday was a long day of 45kms and he arrived in the dark at his Bed and Breakfast overnight stop. He is due to arrive in Ypres, Belgium on Friday evening.
