ALTHOUGH Cheriton Fitzpaine Women’s Institute is now suspended, its members and friends gathered together for an afternoon tea, when they were able to view all the scrapbooks and old minute books going back several decades.

Some photographs will be copied for members and others retained for the Parish Hall records.

Otherwise artefacts will be taken to the Devon Federation Office near Exeter for sorting. Donations during the afternoon amounted to £82, and this will be given to the Under 12’s Play park.
