THE village of Coldridge is delighted that Jeremy Lee, a retired solicitor with Symes, Robinson and Lee, (now Gilbert Stephens) will be opening its biennial Fete, Vintage Rally and Flower Festival on Saturday, June 30.
Past chairman of the fete committee and long-standing supporter of village activities and particularly the hall and St Matthew’s Church, Jeremy is looking forward to a lively and interesting day out.
Secretary, Marilyn Daw, says that “we have a myriad of activities to enjoy including parades of vintage tractors and cars, Taekwondo, a gun dog training display (as seen at the Royal Cornwall Show), static machinery, local hounds, and local stalls plus a Countryside Area and musical entertainment.
There will also be a Fun Dog Show with entries being taken on the day.
There is still time for commercial and countryside stands, and these can be booked by contacting Sally Cooke on 01363 884233 or email: [email protected] .
Local people will decorate the church for the Flower Festival, where the theme will be “Wildlife Around Us”.
The grand opening will take place at 12 noon.
The event is held every other year in aid of Coldridge Village Hall and St Matthew’s Church.
