THERE is a significant change to Remembrance in Crediton this year.
The Remembrance Sunday Service on Sunday, November 11 will begin at Crediton Parish Church at 9.30am and not a later time as in previous years.
This will then be followed by the parade to the Crediton Town and Hamlets War Memorial in Union Road.
Remembrance at the Memorial will take place from 10.30am.
A maroon will be fired at 11am, which will be followed by two minutes’ silence.
On Saturday, October 27, the Opening of the Garden of Remembrance will take place at 10.55am inside the main gate at Crediton Parish Church.
The Crediton “Battle’s Over” event will begin at Beacon Park, Crediton, at 6.40pm on Sunday, November 11. This will include a reading of the List of Fallen, “The Last Post”, Lighting of the Beacon and reading of “Cry for Peace Around the World”.
