STUDENTS at Chulmleigh Community College achieved a remarkable 82 per cent achievement of five A* to C including English and Maths in recent GCSE results.

Michael Johnson, Executive headteacher said: "We were delighted that, when the Department for Education publish the comparative results in October, Chulmleigh will be amongst the best in the region on every measure.

"We are thrilled with these results and relish the challenge that performing well consistently presents us.

"We are now firmly focussed upon the future.

"Our new Year 11 students are positive and poised to maintain this pattern and we are looking forward to working with them.

"I could not be more happier for the children, my colleagues and our community."
