RACKETBALL, is the fastest growing sport in the UK and is very popular at Lord's Meadow Leisure Centre
An England coach recently provided an introduction and coaching sessions for ladies at the centre.
The sessions have now started up again after the Christmas break and are being led by Connor Andrews a UKCC squash and racketball coach.
Although there are similarities to squash racketball uses a shorter, larger headed racquet and a bigger, bouncier ball.
It is easier to play than squash and is a fun way to get the heart rate going and burn the calories.
Racketball is suitable for all ages and abilities and is easy to learn and is addictive.
The coaching sessions for adults are held on Mondays from 1pm to 3pm and are open to men and women.
Each session costs £2 for two hours and equipment is provided.
Lord's Meadow Leisure Centre currently have a special offer on all courts, including tennis and badminton, of just £2 per hour off peak (9am to 3pm).
