THE Accident and Emergency Department at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital recently appealed for toiletries for patients who might be admitted in an emergency.

Cheriton Fitzpaine resident Mary Nunn made an appeal in the “Cheriton News” and was rewarded with a magnificent response.

“Comfort Exeter” representative, Jen Turner-Steel, replied to the community of Cheriton Fitzpaine: “May we express our gratitude for the donation of items you have so kindly organised for our Emergency Department. As you may be aware the Emergency services are increasingly under pressure, to be able to provide a little morale boost and source of comfort to our patients in real need has enabled us to continue the excellent care we strive to provide daily.”

The Comfort Exeter hopes to organise a series of events to raise awareness of its project and plans to keep people posted on future plans via social media.
