THE day before the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, all of the children at Hayward’s Primary School in Crediton celebrated by wearing red, white and blue for the day.
The children also enjoyed a Royal Wedding-inspired lunch.
Andy Smith, Headteacher, explained that in the afternoon the children in Year 5 and 6 organised a Royal Wedding Party which was attended by all of the children in the school.
He added: "They organised stalls and games such as Put the Ring on the Finger, Pin the Crown on the Queen, puppet shows, picnic, Royal-related quizzes, skittles and sponge related activities, all inspired by the upcoming wedding.
"The children also baked cakes for the party, where a winner was judged. The cakes were spectacular and tasted superb. It was a thoroughly fun afternoon, enjoyed by all."
