CREDITON Parish Church Choir will present its Summer Concert of popular sacred and secular choir pieces and solos in Crediton Parish Church from 7pm on Saturday, June 30.

All are invited to attend and admission will be £6 for adults and free-of-charge for school age students.

The admission price includes a glass of Pimm’s or squash during the interval.

The following evening, Sunday, July 1, the Choir will be combining with Topsham Choir to sing an Evening Service of music written for Matins.

Mark Perry, Director of Music, Crediton Parish Church Choir, said that the service will begin at 6pm and all are invited to attend.

He added: “As Matins is not sung terribly often these days, it’s a chance for people to hear the music written especially for it.”

The Topsham Church Choir will be led by Director of Music, Tony Yates.

The Choral Matins will include music by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Benjamin Britten, Herbert Sumsion and Bernard Rose.

Wine and nibbles will be available after the service.
