PUPILS of Spreyton School were busy in the lead up to Christmas getting ready for, among other things, the Christmas Fayre.
Held in the Village Hall, there were decorated gingerbread reindeer, bath bombs, coasters and bunting all made by pupils. There were lots of games, glitter "tattoos", home-made cakes, preserves, mulled wine, mince pies and even Santa in a brilliant grotto.
Before the end of term the school held its Nativity and Christingle services in the Parish Church and Christmas lunch on the day before end of term before breaking up until the New Year.
In November one class visited Paignton Zoo as part of its work on animal classification and the whole school went to the pantomime "Aladdin" in Exeter.
The Christmas Fayre, which was organised by the PTA, raised £500.
