CREDITON'S new Tesco supermarket made a festive donation to Age Concern Crediton.

Representatives from the local group, chief officer Bev Baker, chairman Elaine Soward and cook Janet Noyes, visited the new Tesco superstore at Wellparks Retail Park to receive everything needed to cook delicious Christmas meals for Crediton's Age Concern members.

The store's manager, Ian Dyer and community champion, Kim Woods, presented Bev, Elaine and Janet with trolleys full of Christmas food totalling £400, including turkey and stuffing, Christmas pudding and mince pies and mulled wine and champagne.

Ian Dyer said: "It was lovely to meet everyone from Age Concern Crediton and I was delighted to present them with their Christmas dinner! I do hope they enjoyed their meal and had a lovely Christmas."
