ALWAYS looking for funding to pay for “extras” such as tutors or special materials, members of Yeoford Yarns were delighted to receive a cheque for £400 from Crediton Hamlets Parish Council.

This was from the council’s TAP (Town and Parish) fund. It was presented at a meeting of the Yarns by Hamlets councillor Mrs Rene Jarvis, a member of the Yarns since it began 15 years ago.

Receiving the cheque were founder members Edna Beasley and Marj Gleed.

Crediton Hamlets Parish Council covers a large area that includes Hookway, Yeoford and Woodland Head.

In the current year the parish council also donated £470 to St Lukes Chapel, Posbury and £300 to Yeoford Playgroup from the TAP fund.
