SHOFEST 2019, the Shobrooke music and fun festival, was a great success and raised the fantastic sum of £275 for Sarah’s Bedroom Appeal.
Sarah’s Bedroom Appeal is raising funds for an extension for a downstairs bedroom and bathroom for Sarah, from Shobrooke, who has Kufs Disease. While the target has been reached, the fund is still open to pay for a hoist, towards a larger bed, curtains, carpets, tiles, furniture and other items. Money will be used to fund an outdoor patio if sufficient funds can be raised.
Shofest 2019 brought people together to enjoy great music and raise funds.
The theme for Shofest was well-being, community and friendship and it had a fancy dress theme of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock.
Peter Mason told the “Courier”: “We were grateful for all the bands and musicians who played including ‘The Beatnxs’, who played a truly wonderful set of ‘The Beatles’ classics.
“We would like to thank everybody who made the day possible including Jack Robson and the Crediton Arts Centre, for sound system and technical support and Natalie Dyson and family at The Red Lion who hosted the day. Until next year let us reflect on the fun we had together and how important our communities are for us all.”
