THANKS have been extended to everyone who supported the Carols by Candlelight at St Lawrence Chapel in Crediton on Sunday, December 29.

Sandra Collier explained: “It was a truly wonderful evening of readings and carols.

“A BIG thank you must go to Claire Willman for organising the event and putting the programme together.

“The West Gallery Quire featured strongly, again under the direction of Claire.

“Refreshments were served afterwards.

“The collection amounted to £188 which will go towards the upkeep of this ancient Chapel.

“It is a building well worth preserving and we hope that all future services and events will be supported, the next one being an Ash Wednesday service on February 26.”
