CREDITON family baker's, Stevie B's, located in Union Road, offered an unusual gift for an auction in aid of Children in Need – a year's supply of bread.

The bakery offered the prize of a loaf of bread every week for a year to BBC Radio Devon presenter Judi Spiers, who auctioned the prize on her radio programme.

Lyn Bundy, from Stevie B's, spoke to Judi "live" on the radio about the donation and Judi joked that she hoped there would be an occasional free cake with the prize.

A Tedburn St Mary resident was the final person to bid for the prize, bidding £150.

Stevie B's also sold Pudsey biscuits in aid of Children in Need and these made an additional £150 for the charity.
