I WOULD just like to thank the people of Westernlea, Crediton, who allowed the house martins to build their nests and raise their breeds.

I get enormous pleasure watching their acrobatics over my horse fields as they feed on the flying insects and practice flight for their big trip to Africa in the coming weeks.

I, for one, will miss their antics until next spring, when the same families come back to do it all again.
