CREDITON Police report that a male was recently reported acting suspiciously by members of the public in the Fordton and Westwood areas of Crediton.

PCSO Nicola Payne said: “It is not known at this time if it is the same male in both locations.

“In one incident a male was seen at about 9.45pm on Monday, October 8 in Fordton with a large toolbox containing tools.

“He left the area leaving the box behind. The box is now being held by police.

“At approximately 11.30pm on October 8, a male appeared to be looking around the grounds and workshop of one property in Westwood.”

PCSO Payne added: “If you have lost such an item please contact us via 101, quoting log 871 of October 8.

“If you have any information regarding the identity of this male please call 101 or email: [email protected] .”

She added: “Please be vigilant. Consider removing tools from your van overnight, wherever possible.

“If you see a crime in progress, please use the 999 system. For all other enquiries call 101.”
