AT approximately 7pm on Friday, December 2, a single vehicle road traffic collision was reported on the A30 eastbound approximately one mile from the Fingle Glen Junction.

It involved a green Honda Civic motor car.

Police, Fire and Ambulance personnel attended and a 59 years-old male was subsequently declared deceased at the scene.

The Eastbound carriageway of the A30 remained closed for approximately three and a half hours whilst a specialist forensic investigation of the scene took place.

Police from the Serious Collision Investigation Team are appealing for witnesses to this incident to contact them by telephoning 101 quoting log DCP – 20161202-065.
