AT around 8.45am on Friday, May 8, a collision occurred between two pedal cyclists near to Collihole Farm, in Chagford parish.

As a result of the collision, one of the cyclists, a 54-year-old male from the local area, sustained serious, life-threatening injuries.

The other cyclist, a 19-year-old local male, sustained minor injuries.

The injured pedal cyclist was airlifted to hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Local officers, as well as those from the Alliance Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team, attended the scene.

Following a forensic investigation, the road was reopened.
