I WAS interested to read comments on the Link Road passed by Cllr Nick Way in the last issue of the Courier, saying what a shame it was that Devon County Council had not started the project sooner.
He has a short memory. In 2010 when we attended a meeting in Devon County Hall, Cllr Richard Westlake told me where the money went for the full by-pass for Crediton.
In Linda Chalkers' time the Leader of the Lib Dems decided to take the money to benefit Plymouth. This is the reason we have waited so long.
Cllr Way cannot deny this as he was at the meeting when I asked for a dropped kerb at Exeter Road. He told me it would cost me £1,500 to put one in to enable my husband to cross the road.
We want a measure of safety before someone is knocked down or killed.
The Air Quality machine is now working - what a joke! The monitor is reading "1" - what a laugh with all the traffic passing on our road.
Following on from my letter in last week's Courier, the large lorry that became jammed on Exeter Road with a Mid Devon coach, eventually took the Mill Street road - the wrong way!
