CREDITON and District Playscheme for Children with Special Needs urgently requires volunteers to fill the vacancies of chairperson and secretary.

A small charity with a hard working group of volunteers, it provides fun days out for the children during the school holidays and also giving their families some respite from their day-to-day caring duties.

The two roles that need filling are said to be not too demanding and other helpers promise to extend assistance to applicants interested in undertaking the tasks.

Meetings are held in the evenings and kept to a minimum depending on trips and fundraising events being planned.

All items discussed are with complete confidentiality.

In the past both roles have been combined with volunteering but this is not a necessary requirement.

The roles do, however, require good organisational skills, an enthusiasm to lead a team of caring volunteers. The knowledge of computer skills would be of great benefit.

Persons wishing to apply will be required to complete a Criminal Record Bureau check.
