THE Courier has been approached by readers asking where they can take their plastic milk bottle tops to help charity.

Since the introduction of Mid Devon District Council’s door- step plastics collection, including milk bottle tops, Sustainable Crediton is no longer collecting plastic waste at Peck and Strong’s car park at Lords Meadow Industrial Estate.

Oliver Hood and Colin Full of Sampford Courtenay have been collecting plastic milk bottle tops for some time. Oliver takes them to a colleague in Bristol who then takes them to the Noah’s Ark, Children’s Hospital Charity, Cardiff, Wales, who collect and sell them to raise money to buy wheelchairs for young children in need.

They are happy for people to take the plastic milk bottle tops to their home at Sampford Courtenay and can sometimes arrange collection from Crediton.

For more information telephone Oliver or Colin on 01837 880219.
