LAPFORD Mill is seeking permission to change its premises licence to allow alcohol to be drunk in its garden.

Alcohol is currently allowed to be supplied for drinking on the premises between 12pm and 11.30pm seven days a week.

Owner Alex Gater is not seeking any other changes, either to the hours or for off-premises consumption.

“We are seeking to vary the licence to include the outside areas, so that alcohol supplied under the licence may be consumed by customers in the garden,” he said.

“There are no other changes requested. The supply of alcohol remains for consumption on the premises only and no off sales are sought.

“A revised plan showing the extended red line boundary, with the garden included as on sales consumption area, accompanies this application.”
