A PLANNING application for up to 14 houses in Lapford has been submitted to Mid Devon District Council.

The application from Mr Ken Harrison of Sandhurst is for up to 14 houses to be built behind the four houses opposite Lapford Congregational Church, with access leading on to Eastington Lane.

Plans for the proposed dwellings, to include a footpath link on land at NGR273411 108426 (Sandhurst), are available for inspection on the council’s view and track planning application website at: planning.middevon.gov.uk .

In a letter of objection a resident said: “This development will endanger village children walking to school along a narrow road with the increase of traffic coming from 14 properties turning onto this narrow road with poor vision of traffic already on it.”

Any comments on the proposed planning application 22/00539/MOUT can be made, in writing, to Mid Devon District Council by April 27 (neighbour consultation expiry date).
