A “WORLD Premier Piano Recital” will be held at the Elephant on the Green at 14 Lawrence Green, Crediton on Wednesday, February 1, at 7pm.

Organised by the Music Makers’ this concert will feature local pianist Tim Mathews who will be performing beautiful music by John Bull, Edward Elgar, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Alec Rowley, CHH Parry, Thomas Tomkins, John Bull, Edgar Bainton and Thomas Dunhill.

Dunhill was the Professor of Composition at the Royal College of Music and was a popular composer whose Opus 24 pieces, “Phantase” are yet to be performed in public.

The recital programme has been specially crafted to bring you the very best of British, music of more than 350 years, offering something for everyone.

All are welcome to the recital, which is a “pay what you can afford” event.

Refreshments will be available during the evening which is a great opportunity to make Crediton a major musical cultural hub within Mid Devon.
