A VEHICLE travelling up Jockey Hill, Crediton collided with a parked car at about 10.30pm on Saturday, October 3.

The parked vehicle was shunted forward about six feet into the parked vehicle in front.

The driver of the car fled the scene after the collision.

Local residents heard the impact.

Police attended the incident and one police car remained at the scene as one of the cars was blocking part of the highway. The offending vehicle was later towed away.

The driver was arrested that evening.
