NEWTON St Cyres Primary School children staged the superb Christmas Nativity story “Angel Express” in Newton St Cyres Parish Church on two afternoons.

The church was a perfect setting for the performances, which included the traditional Nativity element.

Children dressed as Mary and Joseph, the three kings, a star, newspaper sellers and in addition there were lots of animals and shepherds and many angels.

There were many starring roles and head of school, Mr James Akhurst, was full of praise for the children and staff involved and thanked the church for hosting the events.

He also thanked Rev Katie Cross, the vicar of the Netherexe Parishes Mission Community, for her input on each occasion.
