Mel Stride, MP for Central Devon, officially opened the stunning gardens belonging to Brian and Mary Threlfall.
About 200 visitors explored the gardens and browsed the stalls selling books, collectables and plants.
Visitors enjoyed cakes, cream teas and refreshments whilst listening to the sound of Crediton Town Band.
Shelia Ralph of FORCE said: "The amount raised was amazing and we are very grateful to Brian and Mary Threlfall for opening their garden for us, the Town Band for the lovely music, and Mel Stride for attending and opening the event.
"It was a wonderful afternoon and I am so pleased we were able to put it on whilst the French twinning visitors were with us."
Mr Stride was delighted to attend the event and said: "FORCE is an excellent charity that I know does incredibly worthwhile work for all those coping with cancer in the area and it was a pleasure to open the gardens for their event today.
"I will always do my utmost to support charities working in my constituency and help them whenever possible."
