BRIAN and Mary Threlfall hosted an Open Garden event at Yeoland House in Crediton, which has so far raised £716.30.

The funds will be divided between the St Boniface Roman Catholic Church roof appeal and the children’s ward at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.

Visitors enjoyed exploring the stunning gardens in brilliant sunshine.

A wonderful selection of cakes were served for afternoon tea and burgers and sausages baps were available from the barbecue.

A tombola with 80 prizes was held and visitors were able to purchase plants and items from the bric-a-brac stall.

As the event was on at the same time as the England v Sweden match, football enthusiasts were able to watch the game inside the house.
