2pm - Crediton Library film screening “Operation Mincemeat” starring Colin Firth (Certificate 12A). Organised by the Libraries Unlimited Creative Communities team.

7pm - Crediton Library film screening “Ammonite” starring Kate Winslet and inspired by the life of fossil hunter Mary Anning (Certificate 15). Organised by the Libraries Unlimited Creative Communities team.

Friday 11

11am - Armistice Day two-minute silence at Crediton Town and Hamlets War Memorial, assemble from 10.45am.

6pm to 9pm - Christmas Fayre at the Boniface Centre, Crediton. Proceeds to Devon Air Ambulance.

7pm for 7.45pm - Sandford Meat Bingo at Sandford Parish Hall.

Saturday 12

9am to 2pm - Craft Fair at Crediton Congregational Church.

6.30pm for eyes down at 7.45pm - Redlands League of Friends, Crediton November Bingo at Sandford Cricket Club.

Sunday 13

10am - Remembrance Service at Crediton Parish Church. Followed by the Laying of Wreaths and Silence at the War Memorial at about 11am. Salute in Crediton Town Square immediately afterwards.

2pm - Whist Drive at Upton Pyne Village Hall. For hall funds.

Monday 14

7.30pm Coldridge and District Garden Club AGM and wreath making demonstration at Bow Congregational Church. Open to all.

Wednesday 16

10am to 12 noon - U3A Crediton and District talk by Brian Fernley “Jumping Jo Beyrle - The story of the first American Paratrooper in Occupied Europe” at the Boniface Centre. Entry £1.50 (includes refreshments).

Saturday 19

10.30am to 11.30am - Talk from Julie Bailey at Samford Courtenay Village Hall about the work of Okehampton Street Pastors.

11am - Sandford Art, Craft and Gift Fair at Sandford Parish Hall.

7pm - Family fun “pig racing” evening at Spreyton Village Hall.

7.15pm - Crediton ELF Fundraising Group Quiz Night at the Boniface Centre, Crediton.

3pm - St Boniface Concert Society AGM and guitar recital by David Cottam (at 3pm) at Crediton Parish Church.

7pm - Sandford Courtenay Village Hall Management Committee AGM at the village hall.
