LOOKING as though it’s going to be a regular fixture, North Tawton’s next market will take place on Saturday, September 4 at North Tawton Rugby Club.

It will run from 10am until 1pm.

The market provides local producers with an outlet for fresh produce including meat, cheese, bread, and cakes, as well as beer, wine and a range of crafts.

It gives local people the chance to buy quality local produce while reducing food miles and supporting local traders.

After the pandemic plans had to be put on hold, the market, which was revived in 2019 after many years when the town had no market, has gone from strength-to-strength.

Plans are in-hand to hold the market quarterly, as near to the traditional quarter days as possible, and it will move round different venues in the town to make it convenient for all.

On September 4, the produce market will once again be held alongside the Rugby Club’s car boot sale, promising a good morning’s shopping.
