THE North Creedy Choral Society will present its annual Christmas Concert at Crediton Parish Church from 7.30pm on Saturday, December 7.

The concert will include excerpts from a completely new work, Advent Cantata.

The words are by James Muirden, who lives in Mid Devon, and the music has been written by the Society’s conductor Richard Stephens.

It will also include music by Palestrina, Purcell and Mendelssohn. There will be Advent and Christmas Carols for the audience to sing.

An instrumental ensemble will accompany the choir, and local tenor, Jason Bomford, will be singing the solo parts.
