AT their meeting on Tuesday, July 7, the Crediton Boniface Rotary Club welcomed a new president, Paul Fallon.

The Rotary year runs from the beginning of July until the end of June of the following year with the incoming president only serving for one year.

The outgoing president this time was Jane Brimacombe. Jane had had a very successful year, her fundraising included an auction of promises which raised £6,510.

The total money raised in her year was just short of £13,500. The money raised by Rotary is used to support various local charities.

Paul has previously been president of the club, this being in 2018-19. The club members are very pleased to welcome him for a second term.

Rotary's first event of the new year will be the annual Industrial Bowls Competition at the bowling club, this starts on Monday, August 3 and people are encouraged to enter teams.
