CREDITON Children’s Centre has now settled into its new premises at Old Hayward’s School, East Street, Crediton.

The centre works with parents-to-be, parents and children to promote the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of babies and young children - particularly those who are disadvantaged - so that they can reach their own potential at home and school.

Georgina Marks, service co-ordinator for the centre, said: “The move to Old Hayward’s School has gone well and we are enjoying our new surroundings.

"However, as it is a school environment we cannot offer a drop-in service at the moment. To resolve this, we have now created a ‘Live Hub’ at the Fire Station on a Wednesday morning from 11am – 12 noon.

“So I hope families in the local community will feel free to come and speak to a member of our team to find out about our services and how we may be able to support you and your child.

"We also have two new members of our child development team, Katy and Philippa, so come along and meet us at the Fire Tots Session 10am - 11.30am every Wednesday.”
