CREDITON Arts Centre’s vibrant production of “The Merry Wives of Windsor” kicked off on Saturday, June 26 at Cheriton Fitzpaine before an enthusiastic and appreciative audience of all ages.

More than 70 people turned out to see the cast of 17 actors and musicians in their interpretation of Shakespeare’s only English comedy. Cheriton School PTA provided refreshments and a splendid afternoon was had by all.

Sadly the proposed Sunday performance at Sandford Millennium Green had to be cancelled due to adverse weather.

This performance has now been rescheduled for Friday, July 9 at 7pm.

Tickets are available from Ticketsource at: www.ticketsource.co.uk/creditonartscentre or from Sandford Stores (tickets previously bought from Sandford Stores will be valid for the new date).

The play will also be performed this weekend at Newcombe’s Meadow (Friday, July 2, 7pm; Saturday, July 3 4pm, Sunday 2.30pm) and at Colebrooke Church on Sunday, July 11 (3pm). The performance at Newton St Cyres Arboretum is sold out.
