MANY people and organisations in Crediton observed the National Day of Reflection held on Tuesday, March 23, the first anniversary of the first UK lockdown.
The day was deemed a National Day of Reflection by Marie Curie to reflect everyone’s collective loss, to support those who have been bereaved, and to hope for a brighter future.
The minute’s silence was observed at 12 noon by many people.
In the evening, at 8pm, “Shine a Light” involved candles, lanterns and lights being placed in windows and outside buildings and homes as a way of reflecting and remembering the lives lost during the pandemic.
At Queen Elizabeth’s School the bell was sounded at noon for the school to observe the National Day of Reflection.
