THE Rt Rev Jackie Searle, Bishop of Crediton, the Patron and Parish representatives of Holy Cross Church, Crediton, are delighted to announce that, subject to the completion of the statutory formalities, an offer of the post of Rector of the Crediton Benefice Mission Community, comprising the parishes of Crediton, Sandford with Upton Hellions and Shobrooke, has been made to the Rev Matthew John Tregenza.

Rev Tregenza is currently Rector of the Benefice of Bishops Lydeard and Rural Dean of Tone Deanery in the Diocese of Bath and Wells and that offer has been accepted.

His Installation, by the Bishop of Exeter, will take place at Holy Cross Church at 7pm on Monday, March 4, 2019.Rev Tregenza told the “Courier”: “I am thrilled that God has called me to be Rector of the Crediton Benefice Mission Community.“And I am really looking forward to moving to Crediton, becoming part of the local community and sharing God's love with the people of the locality.“I am pleased too that there will be plenty of parking at the Rectory for my 1954 Little Grey Fergie tractor!”
